Trademarks, Copyrights and Registered Names:

Rhodesians Worldwide® magazine has been published under the name Rhodesians Worldwide since 1984 when it began its life in Australia. It continued that life under the name Rhodesians Worldwide in the UK until 1998 when it moved to the USA. The Rhodesians Worldwide® organisation across the world in the UK, Australia, USA and South Africa developed primarily from the network created by the magazine. The Rhodesians Worldwide® magazine has been published quarterly for the past 23 years and continues to be published and distributed around the world to this day. Trademarks do not have to be registered with the US or any governmental agency to be in effect, but recent events have required that we apply for an official trademark of the name. This trademark was granted on November 6, 2007 by the USPTO. Trademark rights emanate in our case from our continual use of the name for the past 24 years. Rhodesians Worldwide® is also a registered charity in the United Kingdom and, while the two entities are now separate, they are closely linked and work in close cooperation with each other for the benefit of Rhodesians around the world. While we wish to cooperate in the use of the name with organisations around the world the magazine also needs to protect its rights to use the name and to not have ongoing confusion between the network that has been built up over 23 plus years by the magazine and its associated entities and those who might wish to gain from the widespread recognition of our name.

The following terms are Trademarks of Rhodesians Worldwide® magazine and should be followed by the appropriate symbol ® or ™. Any use which is for business purposes or for advertising or trade purposes is illegal except by express and written permission of Rhodesians Worldwide® magazine.
